Privacy policy
Read Learn Act (“we”) runs readlearnact.com, a free companion app for the books we cover on social media. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Email address, when you join the list, save a scorecard result or sign in.
- Scorecard answers and results, so you can see your history.
- Habits and check-ins: habit names, optional cue text and the dates you checked in.
- Challenge progress: which days you marked done and when.
- Downloads: which PDFs you downloaded and when.
- Timezone, so streaks and challenge days follow your local calendar.
- Usage events, such as “started the scorecard” or “checked in”, to see which features help people.
We do not collect health data, free-text journals, payment details or precise location.
Why we use it
- To run the app: sign you in, save your progress and show your streaks.
- To send emails you asked for: sign-in emails and your scorecard result.
- To send our weekly book lesson if you joined the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which features are used, in aggregate.
We never sell your data and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking tools.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase stores your account and app data and handles sign-in.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
Cookies and storage on your device
We store your sign-in session and your in-progress scorecard answers in your browser so the app works. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. Unsaved scorecard sessions with no email are deleted after 30 days. When you delete your account, your data is deleted immediately.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time from the Account page. This is immediate and permanent.
- Get a copy of your data by emailing readlearnact@gmail.com. We reply within 7 days.
- Unsubscribe from the list using the link in any email.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and email account holders about significant changes.
